BOPEE Discontinues B.Sc. Cardiac Care and Neurosciences Technology Courses

JKBOPEE has discontinued B.Sc. Cardiac Care Technology and B.Sc. Neurosciences Technology under the B.Sc. Paramedical category. The decision was communicated through Notice No. 45-BOPEE of 2026, dated 18 July 2026.

This affects candidates who were already allotted seats in these two courses and have joined their respective colleges.

Why the courses were discontinued

Both courses stood discontinued by the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP). BOPEE received this information from the University of Jammu on 16 July 2026.

What affected candidates need to do

Candidates who joined these courses are advised to participate in Round 2 of the counselling process and submit their preferences afresh once online choice filling for Round 2 opens. Doing this is necessary to secure a seat in another course or institution under the paramedical category.

What happens to the fee already paid

Fees deposited with the respective colleges will not be lost. BOPEE will adjust this amount against whichever course and institution the candidate is allotted in Round 2, based on merit, preferences exercised and seat availability.

Stay updated

The Round 2 choice filling schedule has not been announced yet. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official JKBOPEE website, www.jkbopee.gov.in, for the counselling schedule and related notices.

The official notification does not specify a date for Round 2 or a deadline for choice filling.

Bottom line

If you were allotted a seat in B.Sc. Cardiac Care Technology or B.Sc. Neurosciences Technology and have already joined, you need to take part in Round 2 counselling to secure a new seat. Your fee stays protected and will be adjusted automatically once you are allotted a fresh course. Wait for the Round 2 notification before filling your choices.
