JKSSB Reschedules Junior Assistant Type Test: New Dates for Jammu and Srinagar Centres

If you were preparing to appear for the Junior Assistant Type Test (Skill Test) on 24th July 2026, here is an important update. The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board has postponed the exam because of bad weather, and it now stands split across two new dates for the two centres.

What Has Changed

The Type Test was originally scheduled for 24.07.2026 at both NIELIT Jammu and NIELIT Srinagar. JKSSB has rescheduled it due to inclement weather conditions, and the two centres will no longer hold the test on the same day.

So if your centre is Srinagar, you have very little time left, the test is now just a few days away. If your centre is Jammu, you have a longer gap and can use the extra weeks to practise.

Do You Need a New Admit Card

No. The admit cards already issued to you remain valid for the new date. You do not need to download or apply for a fresh one.

What You Should Do

You are expected to appear at the same examination centre and report at the same time mentioned on your existing admit card, just on the new date given above. Keep your admit card and a valid photo ID ready, and reach the centre well before the reporting time so you are not caught off guard by any last minute rush.

This update was issued by the Controller of Examinations, JKSSB, Reyaz Ahmad Malik (JKAS), through notice No. JKSSB-COE0EXAM/UT/01/2026-03(7827645), dated 23.07.2026. The Board has also asked for the notice to be published in local newspapers so that all candidates get the information in time.
