JKBOSE Circular: CWSN Candidates Must Apply for Pass Percentage Concession by July 25
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education has issued a circular for Children With Special Needs candidates appearing in the Class 10th (SSE), Class 11th (HSE I) and Class 12th (HSE II) Annual Private or Biannual examinations, 2026. If you fall in this group, hold a valid disability certificate showing 40 percent disability or above, and haven't applied for the pass percentage concession yet, you need to visit your Board Sub/Branch office by 25 July 2026.

Who This Applies To
You need to act on this circular if you:

What You Need To Do
Visit your respective Board Sub/Branch office and submit your case for the pass percentage concession. Since the window is short, we'd suggest going as soon as possible rather than waiting until the last day.
Documents To Carry
Each case needs to include:
- An application requesting the grant of pass percentage concession
- An attested copy of your disability certificate
- A copy of your admit card
- A copy of your Aadhar Card
Carrying all four in a single visit will save you a second trip to the office.

- 25 July 2026: Last date for CWSN candidates to submit their case at the Board Sub/Branch office
- 28 July 2026: Last date for Sub/Branch office heads to forward all consolidated cases, along with a covering letter, to the Joint Secretary Secrecy Kashmir Division office
With just a few days left before the student deadline, it makes sense to sort this out early instead of leaving it for the 25th.
What Happens After You Submit
Once you hand in your documents, they will be checked and attested before being placed before a designated committee for review. The circular doesn't say who sits on this committee or when it meets, so if you want a clearer timeline, it's worth asking directly at your Sub/Branch office.
What The Circular Does Not Mention
This circular explains how to apply, but it doesn't state how much concession is actually granted in the pass percentage. It also doesn't clarify whether a similar circular has gone out for the Jammu Division, since this particular one comes from the Kashmir Division office.
