JKBOPEE Opens Second Round of Counselling for B-Pharmacy and D-Pharmacy Admissions 2026

If you're hoping to get into a B-Pharmacy or D-Pharmacy seat in Jammu & Kashmir this year, here's some good news. JKBOPEE has announced the second round of online counselling for B-Pharmacy and D-Pharmacy Courses-2026, and it's meant to fill up seats that stayed empty after the first round.

This round runs from 27.07.2026 (11:30 AM) to 31.07.2026 (Midnight). You'll need to submit your preferences online within this window, since the Board won't consider anyone who skips this step.

Who Can Take Part in This Round

You're eligible if you fall into any of these categories:

• You didn't get allotted a seat in the first round at all.
• You got a seat in round one and have already joined your institution, and now want to try for an upgrade.
• You qualified the B/D Pharmacy CET-2026 but didn't participate in round one for some reason.

There's one important exception, though. If you were allotted a seat in a particular institution during round one and either joined it, failed to join it, or cancelled/surrendered your admission afterward, you cannot pick that same institution again in this round. You're free to try other institutions, as long as seats are available there.

Why This Round Is Happening

Several government and private colleges reported a shortfall in B-Pharmacy and D-Pharmacy seats after the first round, mainly because some candidates didn't join, resigned, or surrendered their seats. This round exists to fill exactly those vacant seats.

How Your Merit Will Be Considered

Seat allotment will follow the merit and score you secured, as shown in the Provisional Merit List released earlier through Notification No. 089-BOPEE of 2026 (dated 28.06.2026). Nothing new is being calculated here, so if you already know your rank from that list, you have a fair idea of where you stand.

One thing worth flagging: JKBOPEE has made it clear that if a seat gets allotted based on a wrong category mentioned in your application form, the Board won't take responsibility for that. So double check your category details if you haven't already.

What You Actually Need to Do

Here's where a lot of candidates get confused, so pay close attention.

Whatever preferences you filled during round one no longer count. They're treated as cancelled. If you want to be considered in this round, you have to submit fresh preferences during the choice filling period.

If you don't submit fresh preferences this time, you simply won't be considered for allotment in round two. And if you had already joined a seat from round one, you'll just retain that same seat, nothing changes for you in that case.

Also, seats will only be filled within the same category from which the shortfall came. So if OM seats fell vacant, they'll go to OM candidates, and category seats will go to candidates from that same category, based on merit and preferences. If a candidate upgrades during this round, the seat they vacate will also be filled at the same time.

Take your time while choosing seats. Once a seat is allotted, it cannot be changed, so pick only those seats you're genuinely willing to accept.

About the Fee

If you already paid the counselling fee during round one, you don't need to pay it again for this round.

JKBOPEE will upload the seat matrix separately on its official website, one day before counselling begins, that is, on 26.07.2026. It's a good idea to go through it carefully before you start filling your preferences, so you know exactly what's on offer.

A Quick Reminder

If at any stage the Board finds a candidate ineligible, their candidature will be cancelled without further notice. So it's worth making sure your documents and category details are accurate before you proceed.
