JKBOPEE FMPHW/MMPHW 2026: Fresh Application, Dates, Fee and Eligibility

JKBOPEE Invites Fresh Applications for 10th Based Paramedical Courses (FMPHW/MMPHW) 2026, All Seats Now Open Merit.

The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has invited fresh applications for admission to 10th Based Paramedical Courses, FMPHW and MMPHW, for the year 2026. This has come through Notification No. 114 BOPEE of 2026, dated 18 July 2026, signed by Secretary Dr Shabir Hussain Keen.

After the online counselling rounds for these courses concluded, a number of seats in Government and Private colleges and institutions across the UT of J&K remained vacant. BOPEE is now inviting eligible and interested candidates to apply afresh and submit their preferences for these seats.

One important detail students should note right away: all the seats now available are Open Merit seats. More on why, below.

Important Dates

  • Submission of application forms and preferences begins: 20 July 2026, 11:30 AM onwards
  • Last date to submit application forms and preferences: 24 July 2026

That gives candidates roughly five days to apply, so it is best not to wait till the last date, especially if documents still need to be arranged.

Students can check the official notification and Annexure A application form on our Instagram page.

Who Can Apply: Eligibility

A candidate must meet all of the following conditions.

  • Be a domicile of the UT of J&K
  • Have passed 10th class or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board, with Science as a subject
  • Not have crossed the upper age limit of 35 years as on 1 January 2026
  • Be medically fit

Candidates who have already joined and are holding a seat under an earlier round are not eligible to apply in this round.

Why All Seats Are Now Open Merit

This is worth explaining clearly, since it affects who should apply. After the third round of online counselling for these courses, the reserved category seats that remained vacant were converted to Open Merit. This was done under the Proviso to sub section 2 of section 9 of the J&K Reservation Act, 2004, and was followed by a Mop Up round.

As a result, every seat being offered through this fresh application process is an Open Merit seat. Reserved category candidates can still apply, but the seats themselves carry no category reservation at this stage.

Documents to Attach

Candidates need to attach the following documents with the application form.

  1. Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K
  2. Qualifying marks card of 10th class
  3. Date of Birth Certificate, and only the Matriculation Certificate issued by the Board of School Education will be accepted for this
  4. Category Certificate, if applicable
  5. Any other document as required
  6. Copy of the payment receipt, if the fee was paid online

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format, given as Annexure A to the notification. It asks for the candidate's name, father's name, date of birth, category, domicile, mobile number, email ID, correspondence address, CET application number and CET rank (if applicable), 10th class marks details, and a list of preferences for discipline and institution, with room for up to 38 preferences.

Candidates can submit this form in either of two ways.

  • By email: Send the filled application form to bopeehelpdesk@gmail.com
  • In person: Submit physically at the BOPEE office in Jammu or Srinagar

Filling and submitting the form does not by itself guarantee admission. The notification is clear that the form is purely provisional and can be cancelled at any stage if the college or institution finds any issue during document verification, or if any document is later found to be fake or incorrect.

Application Fee and Payment

Candidates who had not registered earlier for these courses and are applying fresh need to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 500.

  • If submitting physically at the BOPEE office in Jammu or Srinagar, the fee can be paid through the POS machine available at the office, using a National Credit Card or Debit Card.
  • If submitting by email, the fee has to be transferred online to the bank account given below, and the payment receipt must be attached with the application form.

Bank Account Details for Online Payment

  • Bank Name: Jammu and Kashmir Bank
  • Account Holder's Name: FA CAO BOPEE
  • Account No: 0110040500000051
  • IFSC Code: JAKA0MOVING

One point worth flagging: the notification's point 4, which deals with physical fee payment, mentions "Rs. 500/-" followed by "(Rupees one thousand only)" in brackets. This looks like a typographical error in the official document, since point 5 and the fee amount elsewhere is consistently Rs. 500. Candidates are advised to confirm the exact fee with the BOPEE Help Desk before making payment, just to be safe.

How Seats Will Be Allotted

The mode of selection follows a set order.

  1. Seats are first allotted based on merit in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted for 10th Based Paramedical Courses (FMPHW/MMPHW) 2026.
  2. If any seat still remains vacant after that, it is allotted based on the aggregate marks obtained in 10th class, combined with the candidate's preferences.
  3. In case of a tie, allotment follows the criteria mentioned in Point 12, Page 30 to 31, of the e-Information Brochure for 10th Based Paramedical Courses (FMPHW/MMPHW) 2026.

Legal and Regulatory Basis

Selection of candidates is governed by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations Act, 2002, along with its rules, and the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004, as amended by the J&K Reorganisation Act, 2019. Reservation rules have further been amended through SRO 518 of 2019, SO 249 of 2021, SO 277 of 2021, and SO 176 of 2024 read with SO 305 of 2024, subject to any further amendments by the competent authority. Detailed guidelines are contained in the Electronic Information Brochure 2026.

Important Instructions to Remember

  • Submitting the application form or preferences does not, by itself, give any candidate a right to admission. Eligibility still has to be verified by the Board or by the institution where the candidate is provisionally selected.
  • Candidates are advised to stay in touch with the official BOPEE website, www.jkbopee.gov.in, for updates. The Board has clarified it is not responsible for delays in the publication of notices in print media such as newspapers, since such delays are outside its control, even when the notification is uploaded on the website on time.
  • The notification carries the standard E and OE disclaimer, meaning errors and omissions are excepted.
