JKBOPEE Releases Provisional Selection List for B.E/B.Tech Admissions 2026, Reporting Deadline Set for July 25
The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations has released a provisional selection list of candidates for admission to B.E/B.Tech courses for the 2026 session. This list has come out after the Board invited fresh applications from July 17 to July 20, 2026, to fill up vacant seats left over once the earlier rounds of counselling were completed.
The list is part of Notification No. 117-BOPEE of 2026, dated July 22, 2026, and it refers back to an earlier notification (No. 112-BOPEE of 2026, dated July 16, 2026) through which BOPEE had called for these fresh applications in the first place.
Where to Check Your Name
BOPEE has not published individual names within the notification text itself. The full list of provisionally selected candidates is available as Annexure A to this notification, and it is hosted on the Board's official website, www.jkbopee.gov.in. We would advise every applicant from this round to visit the Notices section on the website and download the annexure to check their allotment status, including their category, CET rank or 12th percentage, allotted discipline, and the institution they have been placed in.
Reporting Deadline: July 25, 2026, by 4:00 PM
This is the part you need to act on immediately. If your name appears in the provisional list, you are required to report to your allotted college or institution and complete your admission formalities by 25th July 2026, before 4:00 PM. Given how close this deadline is to the date of the notification, there is very little room for delay, so it would help to get your documents together right away.
Documents You Will Need in Original
While reporting for admission, candidates must carry the following documents in original:
- Domicile Certificate
- Date of Birth Certificate (this can be the Matriculation Certificate issued by the Board of School Education)
- Marks Sheet of 12th Class
- Category Certificate, wherever applicable
- An ID card to verify your identity
- Any other document that your allotted college may specifically ask for
Since colleges are permitted to ask for additional documents beyond this list, we would suggest calling your allotted institution beforehand to confirm if anything else is required, so you are not caught off guard at the admission counter.
Important Conditions Candidates Should Know
A few conditions in this notification are worth paying close attention to.
Candidates who were already holding a seat from an earlier round and had also applied afresh in this round were not eligible to participate. Their candidature in this fresh round has been cancelled, and they were not considered for any allotment here. If you already have a confirmed seat, this round does not apply to you.
The notification also makes it clear that concealing any information at the time of admission is a serious matter. If a candidate is found to have hidden relevant information, their candidature will be cancelled from the very beginning, and the Board can impose a fine or penalty as per its rules. It is always safer to disclose everything accurately rather than risk your admission over an omission.
For questions related to fees, BOPEE has directed candidates to contact their concerned college or institution directly, since the Board itself is not handling fee related queries for this round.
Institutions Covered Under This Round
Based on the annexure, seats under this fresh round have gone to candidates across institutions including Government College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu, Government College of Engineering and Technology, Ganderbal, MIET Jammu, YCET Jammu, and SSM Engineering College, Baramulla. The official notification does not specify whether every one of these institutions had vacancies in every discipline, so students should refer to the annexure for their specific allotment details.
What Colleges Have Been Told
BOPEE has also directed colleges to keep their admission counters open even on holidays and off days, so that candidates from this round are not held up by working day restrictions while completing formalities within such a tight window.
Heads of institutions have separately been asked to report any shortfall in admissions, meaning seats that remain unfilled even after this round, back to the Board by July 25, 2026, at 4:30 PM. This suggests BOPEE may look at further steps once this reporting comes in, though the official notification does not specify what those next steps would be.
Anything Else to Keep in Mind
For all other terms and conditions, the notification simply states that whatever was already laid down in the Information Brochure and in previous notifications and notices issued by the Board continues to apply. If you have not gone through the Information Brochure yet, it would be worth doing so before you report for admission.
