JKBOPEE Announces 2nd Round of Counselling for 12th Based Paramedical Courses 2026

JK BOPEE has announced the second round of online counselling for 12th based Paramedical Courses 2026. If you appeared for this year's Paramedical CET and are still hoping for a seat, or you already have one but want to try for something better, this round is for you. The Board will run the process from 29 July 2026 at 11:30 AM to 31 July 2026 at midnight.

This second round has come up because several Government and Private colleges across J&K and Ladakh reported shortfall seats through the BOPEE portal, and these will now be filled along with the seats that stayed vacant after the first round.

Who can take part in this round

You are eligible for the second round if any of the following applies to you:

• You did not get any seat in the first round.
• You got a seat in the first round and have already joined your institution. You can still try to upgrade.
• You got a seat in the first round but never joined it. In this case, you cannot choose the same course in the same institution again in this round, but every other course and institution remains open to you.
• You cancelled your first round admission before the last date of joining. Just like above, you lose the chance to take that same course in that same institution again, but you can still apply for any other course or institution.
• You qualified the Paramedical CET 2026 but did not take part in the first round at all. You are also welcome to join now.

What you need to do

The most important thing to understand is that your first round preferences do not carry forward. They stand cancelled the moment the second round begins. If you want a seat this time, you have to fill a completely fresh preference form between 29 and 31 July.

If you skip this step and do not submit new preferences, you simply will not be considered for any seat in this round. And if you already joined a seat in round one but don't fill fresh preferences now, you will just retain the seat you already have, nothing changes for you.

Before you sit down to fill your choices, go through the seat matrix carefully once BOPEE uploads it separately. Take your time comparing institutions and courses, because once a seat is allotted to you in this round, it cannot be changed afterward. So choose only what you are genuinely willing to accept.

One more detail worth knowing: this round is not a free for all where seats move between categories. Only the vacant seats within their own category are being filled, meaning seats left by general category candidates go to general category candidates, and seats left by reserved category candidates go to reserved category candidates, based on merit and preference. Any seat that opens up because someone upgraded during this round gets filled simultaneously as well.
